Harry Potter Exhibit

Harry Potter Exhibit

Having a household full of Harry Potter fans, I wish I lived closer to Chicago so that I could attend the Harry Potter: The Exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry.

If you visit the exhibit you will be able to see the Sorting Hat and Platform 9 3/4, and that is just the start of the fun.  You won’t see fully reconstructed sets here, but you will be able to meander through themed displays with actual movie props.  Since I haven’t see the exhibit, I am relying on Cheryl Bowles descriptions of her visit to the Museum.  Some of the things she found most interesting included:

1. Triwizard Tournament gear

2. Wands: Everyone’s wands are here.

3. The Marauder’s Map

4. Voldemort’s robes

5. Hermione’s Time Turner

6. Remus Lupin’s shabby robes

7. Hagrid’s hut

8. Quidditch

And, of course, there is the gift shop!
